Achieving Global Recognition, SPs UIN Jakarta Consignment of Scopus Journal
ADIA Convention Center, SPs NEWS – The Graduate School (SPs) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta showed a serious commitment to improving the quality of academic and international publications by organizing the "Scopus Journal Consultation for the Preparation of Accreditation of the Graduate School of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta."
This event lasts for three days, starting from Monday to Wednesday, November 3-5, 2025, at the ADIA Convention Center. This concert specifically focuses on two journals of SPs UIN Jakarta: Jurnal Indo-Islamika and Jurnal QUHAS (Journal of Qur'an and Hadith Studies).
The purpose of this activity is to prepare carefully and thoroughly the two journals so that they can be successfully indexed by an internationally reputable database, Scopus.

The Director of SPs, Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA, opened the event directly and expressed his appreciation to the speakers and all participants. "In the next 3 days, we will prepare SPs, Indo-Islamic and QUHAS journals to be indexed by Scopus," said the Director, marking the start of the event.
The first day of the concert was filled with presentations on the latest trends in the world of publication. Session 1 featured Windy Triana, Ph.D, and Yazid Hady, M.Pd, who discussed "Global Trends and Scopus Policies 2025," including the Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB) Update, indexing dynamics, and the latest Scopus evaluation criteria which include Content, Policy, Regularity, Standing, and Online Availability.

Still on the first day, Session 2 continued with a focus on case studies on Indo-Islamic Journals. Prof. Dr. Khamami Zada as the speaker in this session explained "Journal Feasibility Analysis," including site analysis, metadata, publication ethics, and Gap Analysis between the current condition of journals and Scopus standards.
The second day began with a similar agenda, with the resource person Dr. Mulyawan Safwandy Nugraha, M.Ag, M.Pd, focusing on the QUHAS Journal, analyzing sites, metadata, ethics, and gaps towards the Scopus standard. The next session explained the technical stages, namely "Process and Submission Form to Scopus (Title Suggestion System)" as well as the preparation of supporting documents such as policies, ISSN, sample issues, editorial boards, and XML templates.

The closing session of the second day thoroughly explored the "Post-Submit Strategy." This material covers the importance of monitoring, re-evaluation, reputation strengthening, maintaining post-index quality, and tips on avoiding delisting, including international collaboration strategies.
The highlight of the activity on the third day was focused on the review of Scopus candidate articles focusing on aspects of Structure, Methods, and Novelty, including the use of international scientific languages, originality, scientific contributions, and Ethical citations. Yazid Hady, M.Pd led this session with the hope of producing an article that is ready to be published in the journal Scopus.

In this review session, Prof. Yusuf Rahman also conveyed an important message, emphasizing that the author must have mental readiness to receive critical input from reviewers. This is an integral part of the quality improvement process.
The event was closed by Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA. He conveyed an inspirational message to all participants: as writers, it is important not only to be output-oriented or just publishing, but to "enjoy the process so that we can be more patient and experienced." This message is also a profound closing for SPS UIN Jakarta's great efforts towards global publication. (JA)
