Auditorium of Prof. Dr. Suwito, MA SPs UIN Jakarta, SP NEWS – The Graduate School (SPs) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held the 1713th Doctoral Promotion Exam in the Auditorium Room of Prof. Dr. Suwito, MA Graduate School on Thursday, July 30, 2026 with promovendus Rochimah Imawati.

Rochimah is a student of the Doctoral program in Islamic Studies with a concentration in Islamic Psychology. His dissertation is entitled "Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) with Mediators of Psychological Capital in Muslim Activists of Community Organizations".

This research is based on the reality of limited scientific studies that integrate leadership factors, organizational beliefs, Islamic work ethics, and psychological capital in explaining the voluntary contributions of CSOs activists.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Transformational Leadership, Organizational Trust, and Islamic Work Ethics on OCB through Psychological Capital as a mediator variable. Not only that, this study also describes the meaning of the relationship between these variables using Islamic perspectives and values.

To produce comprehensive data, Rochimah applied a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. At the quantitative stage, this study involved 263 Muslim activists from various religious, social, political, and youth organizations.

Quantitative data processing was carried out using covariance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through lavaan packages in the R statistical software.

The results of the quantitative analysis show that Transformational Leadership and Islamic Work Ethics have proven to have a positive and significant effect on the Psychological Capital of activists. On the other hand, the Organizational Trust variable was found to have no significant influence on the formation of psychological capital.

In terms of the formation of voluntary behavior, Psychological Capital and Islamic Work Ethics have proven to have a positive and significant impact directly on OCB. Transformational Leadership and Organizational Trust did not show a significant direct influence on OCB, where Psychological Capital was shown to play a role in partially mediating the influence of Islamic Work Ethics on OCB.

Qualitatively, this study reveals that voluntary behavior (OCB) in activists is formed naturally through the process of internalizing Islamic values. The internalization of religious teachings succeeded in strengthening their psychological capital, thus encouraging the birth of commitment and voluntary actions for the advancement of the organization without expecting material rewards.

Overall, Rochimah Imawati's research has succeeded in producing a new empirical model that integrates various important elements in organizational behavior. This discovery provides conceptual enrichment of the theory of organizational behavior through an Islamic interpretive framework, while expanding its application to the context of Muslim mass organization activists in Indonesia.

Rochimah successfully defended her dissertation under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Abdul Mujib, M.Ag, M.Si, Prof. Dr. Andi Faisal Bakti, MA and Dr. Abdul Rahman Shaleh, M.Psi, and was tested in front of a board of examiners consisting of Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mujib, M.Ag, M.Si, Prof. Dr. Andi Faisal Bakti, MA, Dr. Abdul Rahman Shaleh, M.Psi,  Prof. Bambang Suryadi, Ph.D, Prof. Dr. Gun Gun Heryanto, M.Si and Prof. Dr. Iik Arifin Mansurnoor, MA.

After paying attention to the writing of the dissertation, the comments of the examiner team and the promovendus' answers, the examiner team determined that Rochimah graduated with the title of Very Satisfactory.  Rochimah Imikawi is the 1713th Doctor in the field of Islamic Studies, a doctoral program at the Graduate School of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
