Lecturer Meeting for Lecture Preparation for the Odd Semester 2026/2027, Digital Transformation and AI Adaptation in the Spotlight
SPs Theater Room of UIN Jakarta, SPs NEWS – The Graduate School (SPs) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held an Even Semester Lecture Evaluation for the 2025/2026 Academic Year as well as a Lecturer Meeting for the preparation of the 2026/2027 Odd Semester, located in the SPs Theater Room of UIN Jakarta on Monday, August 31, 2026. This routine agenda is a symbol of the collective commitment of the entire academic community in maintaining the quality and quality of education in the postgraduate environment.
This activity was attended directly by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA, Ph.D., the leadership of SPs, and more than 30 homebase lecturers. The presence of these senior leaders and lecturers affirmed the collective commitment in maintaining the quality standards of postgraduate education
The Director of SPs UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA, officially opened the activity by expressing his deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the lecturers during the last semester. He emphasized that periodic evaluation is very important in order to bring about sustainable improvement. In his opening, Prof. Zulkifli apologized for all the shortcomings and openly invited lecturers not to hesitate to provide ideas and constructive criticism for the progress of SPs.

Interestingly, the issue of technology adaptation is one of the main messages emphasized by the leadership. Prof. Zulkifli encouraged all teaching staff to surf and adapt to the development of artificial intelligence in the academic landscape. The use of AI is considered important so that institutions do not lag behind the increasingly digital learning dynamics of students. "We should not lose fast to students," said the Director emphasizing it.
In line with this direction, the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA, Ph.D, emphasized the importance of building an academic climate that is responsive to the changing times. According to him, lecturers play a key role in directing the use of new technologies such as AI to create a competitive but still ethical learning culture. At the end of his direction, the Rector also injected emotional enthusiasm by advising all lecturers to "never get tired of loving UIN Jakarta."

In the next session, the Deputy Director of SPs, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Rahman, MA, detailed the track record of academic achievements throughout the last even semester. Various national and international seminars have proven to be successfully implemented, supported by a significant increase in scientific publications from the work of students and lecturers. Entering the new semester, Prof. Yusuf appealed to the lecturer team to prepare a schedule and lecture syllabus so that the implementation of learning runs effectively since the first meeting.
As a form of appreciation for the productive research climate, the management of SPs also awarded the homebase lecturers of Masters and Doctoral in Islamic Studies with the best achievements over the past three years. The most publication awards at Scopus/WOS were won by Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA, Ph.D (Homebase Doctor) and Prof. Dr. JM. Muslimin, MA (Homebase Master). Meanwhile, the highest Sinta score was achieved by Mohammad Adnan, Ph.D (Homebase Doctor) and Prof. Dr. Suwendi, M.Ag (Homebase Master).

The discussion and question and answer sessions were interactive, opening up space for lecturers to share constructive inputs with each other. One of them came from Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia, M.Ag, who welcomed the individual study scheme in the concentration course. According to him, this scheme is very effective in encouraging student assignments to be ready to penetrate a journal accredited with at least Sinta 3.
Appreciation related to the efficiency of the campus administration system. Prof. Muhammad Zuhdi, M.Ed, Ph.D, praised the ease of integrating BKD data in the SISTER application which now automatically records the activities of guiding and testing lecturers.

The technical aspect of administration is also strengthened through the socialization of the e-Semesta platform guided by representatives of Pustipanda, Reza Alamsyah, S.Kom, and Imam Ali Khumaidi, S.Kom. Starting from the odd semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, the academic transactions of new students of the Master's and Doctoral programs will be fully transferred using the e-Semesta service to ensure neater and more integrated management of lecture data.
Closing the meeting with an optimistic tone, Prof. Zulkifli reminded that the 2026/2027 Odd Semester lecture period officially began on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. This meeting is not only a forum for technical coordination, but also the initial foothold to step together towards a more advanced academic civilization at SPs UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
