UIN Banten Postgraduate Building, SPs NEWS – The Graduate School (SPs) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and the Postgraduate School of UIN Banten officially established a strategic partnership through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS). This event took place at the Postgraduate Auditorium of UIN Banten on Friday, December 5, 2025, an important milestone in efforts to strengthen the institution towards an international reputation.

The visit of the SPs UIN Jakarta delegation to Serang is not just a ceremonial agenda, but an initiative to open the door to deeper academic cooperation. This PKS is expected to be the foundation for concrete collaboration in various aspects, ranging from curriculum development, enrichment of learning activities through guest lecturer invitations, to intensive cooperation in the field of international research and publications.

The delegation of SPs UIN Jakarta was led directly by the Director, Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA, who was accompanied by Jayadi, S.Kom, and Daoji. Their presence was warmly welcomed by the leadership of the UIN Banten Postgraduate. The atmosphere of familiarity reflects a shared commitment to advancing the quality of education.

The Director of Postgraduate Studies of UIN Banten, Prof. Dr. Wasehuddin, M.Si, together with the Deputy Director, Prof. Dr. Umdatul Hasanah, S.Ag, M.Ag, and his staff received the visit with gratitude. Prof. Wasehuddin in his speech expressed his high appreciation for the willingness of Prof. Zulkifli and his entourage to visit and establish partnerships.

Prof. Wasehuddin expressed his great hope that the signing of this PKS would not only stop as a document on paper. "Hopefully the signing of this PKS is not only on paper, but it will be a more real basis for follow-up in academic development and research and publication collaboration," he said, emphasizing the importance of real implementation of the agreement.

Warmly welcoming the welcome, Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA, also expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary reception from the Postgraduate Program of UIN Banten. In his remarks, Prof. Zulkifli emphasized that this is the era of collaboration. In the midst of global competition, synergy between fellow State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) is very important to support each other, improve quality, and jointly achieve international reputation.

Prof. Zulkifli emphasized that establishing collaboration is the key to supporting each other and improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia as a whole. Collaboration, according to him, is the most effective way to achieve higher academic standards and expand reach to the international arena.

More than just a formality, this Academic Gathering is a forum for exchanging strategic views between the two institutions. The discussions that took place strengthened the common vision in achieving superior titles and being able to compete at the global level, especially in producing graduates, research, and publications that have a wide impact.

This Cooperation Agreement covers the Implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. This agreement paves the way for the exchange of knowledge and resources to enrich the scientific treasures on both campuses.

The event ended with the PKS signing moment witnessed by all attendees, followed by a group photo session. This moment marks the beginning of a new chapter of close collaboration between SPs UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and Postgraduate UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, a step forward that is expected to have a significant impact on the progress of Islamic education in Indonesia.
