Strategic Collaboration, SPs UIN Jakarta and Postgraduate UIN Raden Fatah Palembang Signed MoA
Auditorium Prof. Dr. Suwito, MA SPs UIN Jakarta, BERITA SEKOLAH: Palembang - In an effort to strengthen synergy and improve the quality of Islamic Religious Higher Education, the Graduate School (SPs) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta made a working visit to UIN Raden Fatah Palembang on December 12-14, 2024. This visit resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) which marked the formalization of a strategic cooperation document between the two institutions. Several lecturers from the Graduate School of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta have taught, guided dissertations and examined dissertations at the Postgraduate School of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.
The delegation from SPs UIN Jakarta, namely Director Prof. Zulkifli, MA, Deputy Director Prof. Dr. Yusuf Rahman, MA, Head of the Master of Islamic Studies Study Program Hamdani, M.Ag, Ph.D, Secretary of the Doctoral Study Program in Islamic Studies Dr. Maswani, MA, Secretary of the Master of Islamic Studies Study Program Dr. Rizqi Handayani, MA, and Head of the TU Subdivision SPs Afif Ahmad Faisal, ST, MM were warmly welcomed by the leadership of the Postgraduate Program of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. In his remarks, Prof. Zulkifli emphasized that this is an era of collaboration where all institutions want to develop by multiplying performance, so collaboration of all parties is needed. "We don't consider anyone, everyone sits together, works together to improve performance," he said.
In line with Prof. Zulkifli, Director of Postgraduate UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Prof. Dr. Munir, M.Ag, also emphasized the importance of this collaboration. "We have one perception and one frequency of the same about the importance of collaboration," said Prof. Munir.
The signed MoA covers three main areas, namely education and teaching, research, as well as community service and publications. This collaboration is expected to improve the quality of study programs, enrich research activities, and expand the cooperation network between the two institutions.
In addition to the signing of the MoA, the UIN Jakarta SPs delegation also participated in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which discussed further the implementation of the cooperation. In this FGD, the two sides exchanged ideas and experiences to formulate more concrete cooperation programs.
On the second day of the visit, the UIN Jakarta SPs delegation continued its activities by visiting the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The SPs delegation was received directly by Vice President III for Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr. Syahril Djamil, M.Ag, Dean of FST Dr. Muhammad Isnaini, M.Pd and his staff. The discussion that took place discussed the potential for cooperation in the field of journal article writing and review, joint research, as well as thesis guidance and testing.
Vice President III for Student Affairs and Cooperation of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, Dr. Syahril Djamil, M.Ag, welcomed this cooperation plan. "This collaboration is very strategic and is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of both institutions," he said.
This working visit is a good first step in building closer cooperation between SPs UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. It is hoped that this collaboration can provide significant benefits for both institutions and the wider community. (JA)
